My Titanic Story.

I am sitting in a small life boat with a dozen other people holding my 6 month old baby boy in -12 degree weather, rocking back and forth and checking every minute to see if he is still breathing. While doing this, I am crying because I have just lost the love of my life. There is an awkward silence on the life boat. Running through my mind is what has just happened because it seemed like it flashed before my eyes. Surrounded by people I have never met, we start talking about how this could of happen. The officer on our life boat tells us a rumor that it was Captain Smith who said to keep the boat at normal speed when there was an ice berg just ahead of our ship, the Titanic. Why would someone do that? Many people have just died and some have survived but are scarred with terror for the rest of their lives. My life has just been turned upside down. My husband has been ripped away from my life within a few minutes. Will my life ever be the same again? What am i going to tell my son when he asks who is my daddy? I do not think i could ever forgive the mistake of that one man, for that one mistake has changed MY life forever.

Should We Have Pity On A German Soldier?

A German soldier asks a Jew for forgiveness for the things he has done to the Jews people. Should you have pity on him or not? That is what the Jewish student, Simon, asked hisself as this very thing was happening to him.In my opinion he does not deserve forgiveness. "Look," said the German soldier," those Jews died quickly, they did not suffer as I do-though they were not as guilty as I am." Even though he put a little sorrow into the end of his statement, his first part of it shows no sign of guiltiness for the Jews that he killed or watched die. When he says this statement, I did not have pity for him. He may be dying but the Jews that he killed did nothing to deserve to die the way they did and with out any pity at all. Therefore, I believe that since his victims had no pity, he should have no pity. "The pain became more and more unbearable. My whole body is covered with marks from pain-killing injections...I was taken from one field hospital to another, but they never sent me home." The soldier looked like a zombie in my opinion: covered with goss, could barely speak, was weak all over his body, and was pumped with pain killers. He was getting what he deserved for killing innocent people just for their religion.

No Forgiveness for a Murderer

A un-married women who kills their child because they are afraid of their own social humilty going down hill should not be forgiven. Born or unborn, you are killing a child that has been a human since conception. Approximatly 1.37 million abortions happen each year. Thats 1.37 babies that could one day grow up to be a doctor, lawyer or maybe even president. 52% of the women that have abortions in the U.S. are younger than the age of 25 and 64.4% of abortions are performed on never-married women. This tells me that they are worried about responsibilites and their social (or love) life being critisized. To me, it doesn't matter what other people think. It's another life so don't take it just because you may have made a mistake.

Pedigree's "Dentastix"

Do you ever get the feeling you have bad breath? I sure do. But dogs never know and humans are the victims of this crime. Pedigree Dentastix advertisement for minty treats for dogs is one way they direct peoples attention towards the situation.
This ad also focuses on being humorous toward this common problem. The humor of this ad is in the facial feature of the dog with wide eyes and tongue stuck out. Also the bird, looking dead and out of breath, adds another small humorous touch. Awkward is another word that describes this advertisement. The bird with the dog is not really what you would think to be put together in an ad like this. To me, the ad would have would have been more like a cat and a bird but not a dog and a bird. The simpleness is very unique to this ad. For most ads, you would see more props or people in the image, but all there is is just a bird in a cage, a dog, and the product and a saying. This is very simple to me. Having a humorous tone, the writer wrote this ad to promote the "Dentastix" to dog owners whose pet has bad breath. The ad persuades the readers to buy the product for thier benefit and for their pet's benefit. The ad helps the reader realize that this might solve their problem.
Pedigree's "Dentastix" did a commedable job of advertising. They put humor, uniqueness, and simpleness into one picture to promote their product.

Moral Obligations

A child on the street plays
his broken violen that shrieks
like nails on a chalk bored
for just a few cents
be kind give him $20

A man digs through the trash
for a half eaten doughnut
just so his stomach doesn't growl
like the call of the great grizzly
be compassionate feed him a meal

Will you do what is an moral obligation?

Pioneer Stadium

Walking though those glorious gates is like walking through the pearly gates of heaven. I'm home when I'm at Pioneer Stadium in Batesville, AR. Just to hear the roaring of the crowd is music to my ears. The high and low pitches of the band and the announcer talking about the Frito chili pies at the concession stand is what I just can't live without. As I walk up the stands to find me a seat and pass all the different fans along the way, I smell the magnificent variety of food such as nachos, hot dogs, and hot chocolate. When I find a place to sit, (being the big fans we are) my friends and I hold signs up that say "GO PIONEERS!!" and yell at the top of our lungs. A few minutes after watching tackles, fumbles, punts and first downs, the crowd goes wild after a Pioneer makes a touchdown. Fireworks shoot off into the sky while the announcer is going crazy. At the end of the game, it is another Pioneer victory and they have just been crowned 5A Conference Undefeated Champs. All of the football players make their way to the bottom of the stands. They shout with deep, one-accord voices the V-I-C-T-O-R-Y chant for they are proud to be Pioneers. That's where I come from. This is forever my home. I am a Batesville Pioneer.
